More Research Help
We have many resources to help.
Dozens of Macs and PCs for student use. You’ll need your Lynn username and password to log in.
Free scanning, printing, copying and faxing
Color printing is available in the Copy Center inside the Library (for a nominal fee).
Special software, like SPSS, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Creative Suite, and more is available.
We have a Mac Lab and our library classroom that can be reserved for student/faculty use. We also have four group study rooms, each with a PC/Mac, that are first-come, first served.
The IT department is in the library and can help with questions relating to your iPad, iTunesU, and Lynn apps.
Visitors are welcome to use the library spaces and browse the collections, but at this time we do not offer computer or printing services for visitors and non-Lynn patrons.
Books: unlimited checkouts. Undergrads have a loan period of one month; graduate students have a loan period of one semester.

Music scores: unlimited checkouts with a loan period of one month.
We do not charge late fees for overdue materials; however, we request that you return materials promptly once they are no longer needed. We do charge for lost items and those never returned – the replacement cost plus a processing fee of $40.
We will mail books and DVDs to those students who are fully online/distance students (only those who are NOT attending any on-campus classes). We include a pre-paid return label for shipping the item back.
Items may be renewed online through the My Library Account link. Use your Lynn username (all lower case; e.g.: jsmith) and password.
Search for Course Reserves here. Some faculty place DVDs and books on Reserve behind the information desk, for you to check out briefly, view or read, and then return promptly so they’ll be there for other students in your class. Other faculty members place articles and digital materials in our E-Reserves system.
Getting Stuff from Other Libraries
We will borrow materials for you from another library if Lynn does not own the item. Contact Jared Wellman, Digital Resources Librarian, to make your request. Alternatively, when searching in our LynnQuest catalog, use the button that says “Request Item From Another Library” to make a request. There’s no cost for this service. Delivery takes about 4-10 days. More Info
If you are in south Florida, you can go to other academic libraries in our region and borrow materials in person. Just come to the desk and we’ll give you the card you need to borrow.
You may also consider visiting your local public library to borrow materials.
Suggest a Purchase
We always welcome purchase suggestions. If you know of a database or resource we should purchase, please submit our request form or contact a librarian. Please note we base purchase suggestions on our Collection Policy and can’t fulfill every request..
If you are looking to buy textbooks for your courses, start at the Lynn University Campus Store, and click “Order Your Books.” Once you find your required texts, you can purchase them or look for other textbook ordering options online. Also, as of fall 2015, the library has a print copy of every assigned text for every class, available for 3-hour loan - so search for your books! We may be able to borrow the item for you from another library as well. If you have any trouble finding the books you need for your course, contact the Campus Store.
When doing research using the resources available on the library’s webpage from off campus you will be prompted for your Lynn username (all lower case; e.g. jsmith) and password
