The Library has introduced a simpler way to print. You no longer need your Lynn ID (or login credentials) to print your documents!
Desktop Printing
If you are using one of the library’s desktop PCs or Macs, all you have to do is click “print” and your document will automatically release to one of the five printers in the library. When choosing the print option, please make note of the number (C144, C148, C149, etc.) which corresponds with the printer which will release your document. You can change the designated printer at any time.
Mobile Printing
Instead of emailing your print jobs, now all you have to do is select Air Print (or the box with the arrow pointing up: from your iPad, iPhone, or any Apple device. You then select the printer number (C144, C148, C149) and click “Print” to release your document. Make sure you are connected to the Lynn Wi-Fi.
Scanning Documents
You can still scan documents to your email address from two designated printers (C161 in the Music Library and C150 by the windows). Because you no longer need your Lynn ID, all you have to do is tap the Menu button, choose the scan function, click on “direct input,” type your email in, and then press “Start.”
As always, if you have any questions, please feel free to ask one of the friendly staff members at Lynn Library and the IT Help Desk.
FAQs
How do I print from an Android device or a laptop? Unfortunately, you CANNOT Air Print from Android or from a laptop. You have to email it to yourself and print it out from a library PC, Mac, or your Apple device.
Can I scan docs from the other printers? For now, you can only scan from the two outside printers: C150 and C161.
