Information Literacy SLOs

 

The Toolkit's contents align with Lynn's Information Literacy Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs), a part of the Primary Skills SLOs and Dialogues Core Curriculum, and with The Association for College & Research Libraries (ACRL) approved Information Literacy Competency Standards for Higher Education.

Lynn Library's three information literacy skill areas:

Find Information Sources

  • ACRL Standard #1 The information literate student determines the nature and extent of the information needed
  • ACRL Standard #2 The information literate student accesses needed information effectively and efficiently

Evaluate Information Sources

  • ACRL Standard #3 The information literate student evaluates information and its sources critically and incorporates selected information into [the student's] knowledge base and value system

Use Information Sources
