Stuck on a certain aspect of your research?  Ask the experts!  This page is a list of Lynn personnel who are experts in various aspects of research, scholarship, and publishing.  They have agreed to act as mentors for faculty who want a bit of guidance in certain areas related to academic writing.  Reach out to them as needed for help with your research.

Rachel Pauletti

Dr. Rachel Pauletti is a personality psychologist with expertise in research design and statistical inference. At Lynn, she teaches graduate statistics and research courses in our master’s in psychology program. She thrives when her students thrive, and has the most fun when she’s helping students master scientific writing and data analysis. She has published in some of the leading journals in her field and is a regular presenter at professional conferences.

Alana Lecher

Alanna Lecher, Ph.D. is adept at both experimental design to optimize statistical analysis later and also data mining to generate novel analyses of existent data. She is fluent in R and very handy with Excel, including the Data Analysis Toolpak. She’s published statistical studies in earth sciences and education journals. Lecher teaches undergraduate and graduate statistics at Lynn University, and is used to collaborating with academics who have little to no statistical understanding. Her motto is where there is data there is a way!

Editors of Journals

Jon Sperry

Jon Sperry, Ph.D. has served as the co-editor of the Journal of Individual Psychology since 2017. The Journal of Individual Psychology is a quarterly peer-reviewed academic journal covering theory and methods of individual psychology. Sperry has also co-authored six textbooks and published dozens of articles.

Valeria Fabj

Val Fabj, Ph.D. is the former editor of Women’s Studies in Communication. She has years of experience guiding academics through the editorial and peer-review process. Her research focuses on the public sphere as a forum in which traditionally marginalized groups can gain a voice and affect public praxis.

Michael Centkowski

Mike Centkowski has worked on many projects ranging from the development of a comic book to creating two 2D animated films which were shown at over 50 film festivals. He was invited to speak at a tech talk in SIGGRAPH in 2006 and worked on the development of Animation Software for Reallusion Studios. His writing has been published in 3D Artist Magazine (Issue 96) where his article focused on custom 3D character generation and ZBrush sculpting and painting. He is currently a member of Lynn University's faculty within the College of Communication and Design and is leading the way on the path to integrating virtual reality into the classroom.

Michael Crary

Michael Crary is a creative design professional with over 20 years of experience in design and education. Crary has worked in a multitude of disciplines in design: advertising, publication design, product design, art direction, as well as extensive work in print and gallery curation and exhibition installation. After receiving his MFA in graphic design from The Miami International University of Art &Design, he went on to teach and develop classes for both The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale, Digital Media Arts College and now in the College of Communication & Design at Lynn University.

Michael Antonello

Michael Antonello, J.D. is the general counsel for Lynn University and is a member of the leadership team for the university. He is available to answer any questions related to copyright agreements and interactions of those agreements with faculty and staff contracts or to answer general questions relating to intellectual property.

Dr. Erika Grodzki has served as a member of the International Review Board at Lynn University for over a decade. She has reviewed various types of research proposals over the years. Her own research interests are in the areas of international advertising, marketing and lacuna theory.

Melissa Knight

Melissa Knight has worked in higher education for over 20 years and is currently the Director of Academic Coaching in the Institute for Achievement and Learning. When working with human subjects for research Melissa honors the consent of each individual to participate in the study. Melissa is respectful of their choices which can change throughout the process and evaluates each situation ethically.
