In recognition of Dr. Kathleen Cheek-Milby's fidelity to educational excellence, the Lynn University Board of Trustees unanimously agreed to create the Kathleen Cheek­Milby Endowment to honor her contributions to Lynn University as a faculty member and as the vice president for academic affairs. The initial endowment was designated at $250,000 with the intent that the fund would grow over time and be spent in accordance with both the financial parameters established by the board and for purposes determined by Dr. Cheek-Milby. In fulfillment of the directive of the board and upon consultation with Dr. Cheek-Milby, the university established the Kathleen Cheek-Milby Endowed Faculty Fellowship.
