Acquisition Priorities

The focus of the Lynn University Archives collection is on records, memorabilia, and artifacts pertaining to Lynn University. Unfortunately, we will have to decline any donations or transfers beyond this scope. Please see the Archives gifts and donations policy.

  • Permanent records of the university with enduring value;
  • All university publications, both online and hard copy, emanating from all departments, colleges, institutes, and the Conservatory of Music including but not limited to: catalogs, faculty and student handbooks, literary magazines, brochures, fact sheets, pamphlets, manuals, newspapers, magazines, yearbooks, alumni publications, announcements, and programs of Lynn sponsored events held both on and off campus;
  • Board minutes and committee minutes; 
  • News / press releases and news articles pertaining to Lynn people and activities;
  • Photographs, audio-visual materials, blueprints, maps, and other memorabilia that depict Lynn's history and/or relate to the campus, events, classes, musical performances, theater productions, faculty, students, staff, administrators, and/or alumni;
  • Inactive permanent records from all administrative offices, academic departments, and student organizations that include but are not limited to: policy statements, minutes, annual reports, and statistical summaries;
  • Publications authored by or about faculty, staff, students, and alumni, including, but not limited to publications, presentations, and creative work; as well as student theses, dissertations, and portfolios, and other student work;
  • All documents — including electronic documents and email — relating to major projects undertaken by any department which have a specific start and end date;
  • All documents relating to a department’s involvement and participation in a significant off-campus event;
  • All speech materials given by faculty, officers, and other staff members as well as records that include agendas, audio-visual materials, and speech transcripts;
  • Annual athletic team rosters, schedules, and game scores.
